Group assets into groups that make sense to your business.
1. On the home page select Assets
2. On the Assets page, select New Asset
3. Enter the Asset Name and select the relevant Asset Categories and select Next
Note: You must choose a Level 1 Asset Category. You don’t have to select a level 2 Asset Category
4. In the Asset Group box select Create new Asset Group.
5. In the box that appears, enter a relevant Asset group name, in this case we have chosen Product for our Asset group, and select Create.
6. The Asset group will now appear in the Asset group dropdown. Select the group you want to add this asset too.
7. Fill in the rest of the relevant Advanced Details of the asset. Including Alias Name, Description and Owner. And select Save.
Note: You don’t have to fill in any or all these fields. However, we recommend you do as they will provide helpful information to your asset list!
8. The asset Group will appear on the navigational panel to the left.
9. When you select the asset Group it will show all the assets that have been assigned that group.
Grouping multiple assets made easy
To group bulk multiple assets:
1. Select the checkbox next to the assets you want to group
2. Select the Add to Group button that appears on the top right of the Asset table
3. The Add Assets to Group box will now appear. This box offers you the option to group the assets into an existing group or if your group is not already there you can create a new group and then add it into that.
4. To make sure the assets have been successfully grouped, select the group you have just added the assets that is found on the navigation panel and view the asset table to verify.
